Excelentísima serie dramática creada  por Tom Fontana, y su nombre Oz no solo se da por el abreviatura de Oswald , sino también por la novela de L. Frank Baum, El mago de Oz;   emitida desde el año 1997 al 2003. 

This is a Excellent drama Tv Show produced by Tom Fontana, named  Oz from  his real name Oswald and also from the word  reaknow production  “The Wizard of Oz”  written  by L. Frank Baum; wich  was broadcasted  from 1997 to 2003.

Esta entretenida serie cuenta las historias que pasan dentro de una cárcel de máxima seguridad llamada Oz  (Oswald State Correctional Facility ), y principalmente el sector llamado la  cuidad esmeralda. Personajes principales hay varios pero los que veremos desde el  primer episodio hasta el final o casi el final jijijiji son:  Leo Glyn  (interpretado por  Ernie Hudson) el director de esta cárcel, Vern Schillinger ( interpretado por J.K. Simmons) el mandamás de un grupo de nazis que se hace llamar la hermandad, Tobias Beecher  (interpretado por Lee Tergesen) un culto y decente hombre que pierde su título de abogado al ser sentenciado,  Ryan O'Reily (interpretado por Dean Winters) un irlandés tipo camaleón para cambiar de color según su conveniencia el weoncito jajaja,  Tim McManus (interpretado por  Terry Kinney )  que es el creador de ciudad esmeralda donde su objetivo era crearle una vida agradable a los reclusos,  hermana Peter Marie Reimondo (interpretado por Rita Moreno quien gano muchísimos premios ) una psiquiatra y monja de la prisión,  Augustus Hill ( interpretado por Harold Perrineau) un negro en silla de ruedas realmente encantador que nos hace comentarios y cuenta pequeñas anécdotas súper interesantes por no decir lo menos,  Kareem Said (interpretado por Eamonn Walker)  el jefe del grupo de los musulmanes y un personaje con mucha importancia tanto para los reclusos como para los directores de la prisión, Dr. Gloria Nathan (interpretado por Lauren Vélez) una maravillosa doctora muy humana y que ayuda mucho a todos.

An entertaining Tv Show that  tells the stories of what really happens inside a maximum security prison called “Oz” (Oswald State Correctional Facility), it takes place in “Emerald City”. The main characters are of several  people but the ones we will see all troughout the series are the following  : Leo Glyn (played by Ernie Hudson)  the prision director-

 Vern Schillinger ( JK Simmons) The head of a group of Nazis who called “the brotherhood”-

Tobias Beecher (Lee Tergesen ) an educate and decent man  who lost his law degree when he was tried guilt and sent to prisión-

 Ryan O'Reily (Dean Winters) plays an Irish type chameleon that change color depending on his convenience hahaha.-

Tim McManus (Terry Kinney) who is the creator of” Emerald City”  his goa lis to keep a good and enjoyable enveironment  between the inmates.-

Sister Peter Marie Reimondo (Rita Moreno whit many awards in her carrer) plays a psychiatric and of that preson.-

 Augustus Hill (Harold Perrineau) Afroamerican man in a wheel chair thats make whitty comments throughout  the show and shares interesting storieso makes,-

Kareem Said (Eamonn Walker ) A muslim leader that plays a very important roll between the prisoners and prison directors.-

 Dr. Gloria Nathan (Lauren Vélez) a very dedicated and human doctor that whants help everyone in there.

Las historias que suceden son aveces muy crudas, pero muy interesantes ,  no solo muestra la cruda realidad de lo que sucede en la cárcel, sino también da muchísimo que pensar con los dilemas éticos a los que enfrentamos en cada capítulos .

Buen final a mi gusto, incluso deja la puerta abierta para que ojalá más capitulos jiji.

The stories that take places are sometimes very schocking  but interesting –they not only show the real life in jail but leaves us with a lot of thinking to do about some ethic issues that we would face in each chapter.-

Has a good ending that leaves the door open for the second part and leaves us wanting so more chapters,hahaha.

En total fueron 6 temporadas con 8 capítulos cada una, excepto en su cuarta donde pudimos ver 16  usea el doble de entretención jiji donde cada uno duraba aprox 50 minutos. Muy premiada

Includes  6 seassions composed  8 chapters each, with the  exception of the 4th one that was composed by 16 chapters (twice the  entertainment)  the duration of each chapter is about of 50 minutes.-

Let me finish this saying  that it was a very awarded Tv Show and one of the best i have watched .- it was recommended to me by my great and dear friend  Isidora Garfías.
