The Fall  (La Caza en España)

Excelente serie norirlandés. Un thriller dramático perteneciente al género policiaco. Creada por Allan Cubitt el 2013, y  sus capítulos comenzaron ese mismo año a emitirlos los canales BBC Two de Londres, y  RTÉ One de Irlanda. En Gringolandia la transmiten por el canal AXN .

An excellent Northern Ireland TV show. It is of the dramatic police thriller genre. It was created by Allan Cubitt in 2013 and it's first episodes began that same year. The Fall was first aired on BBC 2 in London and RTE in Ireland. In USA it is trasmitted on AXN channel.

La historia de fondo es la investigación de un asesinato en Belfast capital de Irlanda del norte, donde los detectives están tan perdidos que se contactan con la detective superintendente Stella Gibson (interpretada por la actriz norteamericana Gillian Anderson quien es conocida por la serie Los Expedientes x) que trabaja en la Policía Metropolitana de Londres conocida como Scotland Yard.

The story begins with the investigations of a murder in Belfast, capital of Northern Ireland, where the detectives are so baffled by the murder that they contact the detective superintendent, Stella Gibson (played by the American actress, Gillian Anderson who is known from the show X-Files series). Stella Gibson works for the Metropolitan police department in London, known as Scotland Yard.

Lo interesante como espectador es saber desde el primer capítulo que Paul Spector (interpretado por el actor inglés Jamie Dornan) es nuestro asesino, ver como este depredador sexual  y asesino en serie, quien al tener una doble vida se escapa impunemente hasta finales de la temporada 2, ya que nadie sospecha de él, al ser un hombre de familia establecida con 2 hijos, y trabajar como psicólogo.

The interesting thing is knowing spectator from the first chapter that Paul Spector (by English actor Jamie Dornan) is our murderer, see how this sexual predator and serial murderer who having a double life escapes with impunity until the end of the season 2, since no one suspected him to be a family man set with 2 children, and work as a psychologist.

Por lo tanto, nosotros por un lado vivimos la tensión constante de nuestros 2 protagonistas, por la caza del asesino por parte de Stella, y al mismo tiempo la caza del asesino al buscar su nueva víctima jajajjajaj, todo esto transcurre mientras también como espectador llegamos a sentir las tensiones políticas y sociales que aún genera conflicto  de los republicanos (católicos nacionalistas) con los lealistas ( protestantes unionistas) de Irlanda.

Therefore, on the one hand, we live with the constant tension of our two protagonist. One, the hunting of the killer by Stella and at the same time the killer hunting for his new victim hahaha. All this is happening, while we as spectators,  find ourselves caught up in the political and social tension that generates conflict between the Republicans( Catholic Nationalist) and the Loyalists(Protestant Unionists).

Con 2 temporadas hasta la fecha, de 5 y 6 capítulos respectivamente, donde cada uno dura aprox 60 mints, y este mismo año tendremos el placer de ver su 3era temporada de 5 capítulos. Sin globos de oro, ni premios emmys pero con muchísimos premios ingleses e irlandeses, y una excelente teleaudiencia.

With 2 seasons to date, from chapters 5-6 respectively, with each episode lasting about 60mins. This year we will whatch 3th season. No Golden Globes or Emmy awards, but with many English and Irish awards and excellent viewership, it is worth the view.
